Telehealth Art Therapist & Mental Health Counselor

Kristel M. Phelps, MA, LPC, ATR

Ciao! I am excited for the honor and opportunity to bring the healing power of creativity into our therapeutic work together.

Who I am_

I am an ethnic white American whose parents emigrated from Italy and Germany, and because of my cultural upbringing, I am sensitive to hold space for others who also experience first- and second- generational expectations from loved ones. As an Italian-American and German-American, I realize the importance of family and also the challenges that come with family. I was raised in a military town in the Midwest and experimented with various forms of art-making all throughout my childhood and into university where I graduated with a degree in photography. I throughly enjoy connecting with others, especially through the love of food and pasta. In my free time, I can be found in the kitchen experimenting, gardening, hiking, making art, listening to true crime podcasts, or spending time with my husband and dog.
